SPINNING

For those who wish to spin, the Guild holds courses in basic spinning . Here you will learn about types of fleece and how to produce different yarns from those fleeces. Spinners can progress to making novelty yarns combining various natural fibres such as silk, mohair and cotton.

You will also obtain information on the various spinning wheels available in New Zealand.

The Guild Spinning and Knitting group meets monthly to develop their skills and knowledge in a congenial atmosphere, and to shop for fleece for spinning from the yarn room.
