OPEN DAYS
Every year the Handweavers and Spinners Guild holds an Open Day at 'The Textile Arts Centre', their rooms in Nicholson Park, Mt Eden.
It is a fun day, open to the public, where we encourage visitors to 'have a go' and try their hand at felting, knitting, spinning, weaving, crochet, tapestry weaving and kumihimo braiding. Children are welcome too, and are always very enthusiastic.
There are also handmade items for sale, a table of second hand textile books, light lunch available, and a raffle. The yarn room is open with fleece and exclusive yarns for sale.
