PROPOSED CLASSES

The following classes have been suggested:

Felted Mosaic Bags with Raewyn Penrose as tutor; Felt decoration & embellishment; Kumihimo braiding;  Beginner Crochet, Weaving and Spinning; another Felt Slipper' Class; Knitted & Crocheted Handbags - 'scrumbling';  Tunisian Crochet and Spindle Spinning

THEO MOORMAN TECHNIQUE

We are hoping to arrange a class in the 'Theo Moorman' technique. This is weaving technique which allows you to create images on the loom. The effect is rather like tapestry weaving, but the warp threads are loom controlled, rather than hand manipulated, and it is much faster to weave.
Dates will be arranged when we have sufficient interest. Please contact the Guild office to register your interest

TRICKS OF THE TRADE & BEYOND THE BASICS

In October 2010, we are planning to have Nynke Piebanga come and give us an expanded, 2 day version of the workshops she gave at the recent Creative Fibre Festival in Whangarei. We are also exploring the possibility of a 'Thick and Thin ' workshop with Nynke. Please contact the Guild office to register your interest
